A lot of people are afraid of anyone who is "different". You know that is their problem, and not yours. Actually, we should feel sorry for them and pray for them to grow. That said, it is reality...and you need a job! I think you should start with your local social services office and get them working for you. I think it's a good start. Alternatively, why don't you start cold calling the HR departments of companies you'd like to work for? I don't know what your dissability is, but maybe you could start humble and answer phones, whatever. Just get in the door. Another aveneue is to do temp work through Manpower. You can also check in with agencies such as United Way...they might be able to give you some ideas. Failing that, practice for a paying job by doing some volunteer work while you build up your confidence:

Jobs are not always easy to get when you are not disabled, however I would suggest that you stay positive, and don't give up! and only look for the jobs that you know that you would really like doing, that way you will always be happy.

i think the reason for that is because most of the faciities for businesses are not equipted enough to facilitate the needs of a disabled person.
here in the philippines, there's a company that hires disabled persons, the name of the company is lamoyan industries, the maker of hapee toothpaste and also bench boutiques.
