Yes, replace each oz hard fat with 1 tab oil and just stir in.

you could try making a water paste or suet paste?

I never rub fats in, ice cold butter or margarine, chunked up and put in food processor with flour, whiz whiz, perfect bread crumb texture, bit of water, whiz whiz, ball of pastry. badabing badaboom I once made a pie crust for a quiche from a weight watchers cookbook using cottage cheese and I was very surprised at how flaky and delicious it was.
