Kitty said: Yes.is it possible to use a regular shot glass in the middle of a cake pan to get bu-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(is it possible to use a regular shot glass in the middle of a cake pan to get bu),it will help you,my kids.
Answers:
A shot glass isn't big enough. If you have a stemless water glass (preferably one that is the same size around on the bottom as the top) that is oven proff, try using that. You might want to put parchment around it so it doesn't stick. The trick is to use something that is at least 1 inch taller than the unbaked cake. It won't look exactly like a bundt cake, which is usually somewhat rounded, but it will be close enough. Good luck!
Other Answers:
Buy the pan cheapskate. NO
i think the oven will get to hot and the glass will break
No. You need special heat resistant glass, if you want to use glass. Try a stainless steel funnel.
no, it will look like a flat ckae with a hole in the middle
no, not really
Huh, inventive but i'm going with a no. You can find really cheap ones (that you throw away) for a couple bucks...
I'm pretty sure it would get so hot that it would break.
No, you'll get a regular flat cake with a small hole in the middle.
And a regular cake pan will only hold 1/2 the cake mix, so you better measure well or the holes won't line up.
if the shot glass is make for heat resistance and the oven, then there should be no prblem. Bt now a days a shot glass is used for drinking not baking. I would recommend you just buy the pan.
Bundt pans are much higher than a regular cake pan. You'd end up with a donut looking cake. I've seen bundt pans at the Dollar Store, to be honest with you.
no the cake would rise over the glass.........
Don't use glass. Take am empty vegetable can, wrap tightly with aluminum foil, grease with butter. It works great. I do it all the time.
No. You can try if you want but it is going to look different. The cake isn't going to be tall enough, or set right.
Your bundt cake would probably cook over the shot glasses. Go to a dollar store to get a cheap bundt pan.
