Well... if it's starting to grow enough mold that it's become visible in a spot, then there's a good chance that there's other mold on the bread that just not in a large enough group yet to be visible... If you do it often and are generally healthy, yea, it's fine to pinch off the mold spots and eat the bread... but personally, once I see mold on something that's not supposed to have mold, I toss it... it's just a loaf of bread... it's not like it really costs that much to buy another, fresher one that will taste better anyways...

And yes, penicillin is made from mold, but that doesn't mean all mold is good... certain kinds of molds are good (yeast, yogurt, blue cheese, etc.) but generally, things that aren't supposed to have mold grow mold that is harmful, not mold that is safe or beneficial. Like, moldy cheese... yes, blue cheese has mold all in it, but it's a certain kind of mold that is safe and put there, the kinds of mold that usually just grow on cheese can make you sick... and yes, if it's just a little, it is mostly safe to cut off the mold and eat the rest of the cheese, but some people are much more sensitive to things like that and can get dangerously sick from eating spoiled/spoiling foods...

yeh. well i do that sometimes and am not dead
I wouldn't recommend it. I would buy a fresher loaf of bread.
SURE..IT IS ALL INFECTED
My mom does that all the time and she's still alive and kickin'. I suppose it can be but, if you have a real sensitive system I wouldn't risk it.
yeah...in fact, it's safe to eat the mold.....
seems safe to me, I never tried it, but I heard its okay.
yes
Yes but u culd have a bad cough later on.
yeah mold is what they make antibiotics out of
No cause then the mold starts to grow inside of you like watermellon seeds.
Yeah, sure, it's even okay to eat the mold....penicillin. Best wishes

Not a problem... u may actually feel better as the mold is penicillin and may cure your infection!
I saw this guy on the tv show Ripley's believe it or not, and this guy only ate rotted meats, so I am guessing that the human body can adjust to a great deal of many things in order to survive, it's safe to hold a gun to your head if there is no bullet in the chamber, anyways, you catch my drift, I have eaten moldy bread before myself and I ain't dead yet, go visit a friend though and see if they will give you some fresh bread, it just tastes so much better, if you can afford the internet you can afford fresh bread also I would think, anyways, best of luck to you,
It's safe, as in, you won't die. However, the hyphae (think roots) spread deeply through the bread before the visible stuff happens.

The bread will taste like dirt. Ack. Ack.
Apparently.
As long as you have enough bread left to eat to make it worth it. I wouldn't eat it if you have say, more than 30% mold on it.
Yes it safe, but disgusting. My father eats moldly bread among other things all the time, but it grosses me out especially when he expects me to do the same. I am very picky when it comes to food- I don't eat alot of bread products to start, so I would never eat moldly bread.
Sure I've done it and I am still alive and kicking
sure, but why would you want to...
yes
I wouldn't.
yes, bread mold will not hurt you although many other kinds will.
Yep! Techinally you could eat the bread with the mold on it, it just wouldn't taste that great... so i would take it off... but mold has lots of protein.. it wouldn't hurt you. it just tastes gross.
Yes, yes, yes. Lots of people ate moldy bread and lived to tell about it. It does no harm. The bread may not taste that great, even after the mold is removed, but it won't hurt you.
