its not romantic but my mom always made mashed potatoes and corn with stuffed peppers Pasta with a white crab sauce. You can find so many good food recipes and cooking ideas at epicurious.com
steak or grilled chicken, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, with bruschetta. For dessert apple pie a la mode.
I would serve with fresh rolls and honey glazed carrots (top cooked carrots with a little bit of butter and honey to taste).you can make twice baked potatoes with a lil caesar salad and some dinner rolls. for drink either some wine or sweet tea.
