Easy way? thaw frozen bread dough, pinch off small pieces, pull very thin, slide into very hot oil/fat. they will rise to top, turn, remove when toasty color. Plain, or shake some powdered or granulated sugar/cinnamon on them. Made into large circles they sell them at fairs etc as elephant ears!
Corn bread made with blueberries, wild rice, white fish--you do not get better.
Wild Turkey w/ wild sage stuffing...
