    Anybody have good recipes for sweet and sour chicken? Asian cuisine with chicken

Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days,anyone help us?

Chicken Bits:
2 pounds skinned, de-boned chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
A little fresh ground black pepper, ground ginger and garlic powder to season flour (not a lot)
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
Vegetable oil
Vegetables:
1 green bell pepper, washed, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch square bits
1 red bell pepper, washed, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch square bits

Grilled Chicken with Five Spices
Ga Nuoung Ngu Vi Thiong (Vietnam)

Five-spice powder is quite strong, so use it judiciously. Pork pieces can also be used for this favourite barbecue dish.

Ingredients:

? 2 chickens, about 3 lbs each

Marinade:
? 4 tbsp vegetable oil
? 1 tbsp Crisco
? 10 shallots, finely sliced
? 4 cloves garlic, crushed
? 1 cup rice wine or sherry
? 4 tbsp light soy sauce
? 2 tsp five-spice powder

Preparation:

Bone chicken and cut into large chunks.

Make the marinade by heating the oil and Crisco and frying the shallots and garlic until light brown.

Add rice wine, soy sauce, and five-spice powder and pour immediately over chicken, rubbing it well in. Set aside for half an hour.

Ingredients:

? 1/2 tsp chilli powder

? 1/2 tsp turmeric, ground

Lemon Grass Roasted Chicken

A last minute basting with lemon grass and a cliantro paste gives this dish a zesty aroma and flavour.

Ingredients:

? 1/2 cup finely chopped lemon grass (3 or 4 fresh stalks)
? 2 tbsp. finely chopped shallots
? 1 tbsp. minced garlic
? 1 tbsp. dried chile flakes
? 1 tbsp. soy sauce
? 1 tbsp. sugar
? 4 1/2 tsp. fish sauce
? 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
? 1 chicken (2 to 4 lbs)
? 2 tbsp. finely chopped cilantro
? 1 tbsp. vegetable oil

Preparation:

In a large glass bowl combine all but 2 tbsp. of the lemon grass with shallots, garlic, chile flakes, soy sauce, sugar, fish sauce, and salt. Add the chicken, turn it to coat it in the marinade, and put some marinade beneath the skin. Pour any excess marinade into the cavity.

Marinate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Bring to room temperature before cooking.

Chicken In Sweet And Sour Sauce
INGREDIENTS:
Chicken sweet and sour
Diced chicken 250 gm.
Salt To taste
Egg white 1 tsp 1 no.
Diced capsicum 15 gm.
Diced tomatoes 15 gm.
Diced onion 15 gm.
Chopped garlic 1 tsp.
For sauce
Tomato ketchup 2 tsp.
White vinegar 1 tsp.
Sugar 1/2 tsp.
Salt 1/2 tsp.
Stock As required
Corn flour slurry 1 tsp.
(250 g corn flour + 150 ml. Water)Spring onion to garnish 10 g
Oil 500 ml
PROCEDURE:
- Marinate chicken (diced) with salt, corn flour and egg white.
- Deep fry and keep aside
- Heat oil in wok
- Add garlic and all vegetables and toss
- Add stock and the ingredients for sauce and cook for a minute
- Add 1 tsp corn flour. ( sauce coats on chicken)
- Garnish with chopped spring onion.
