Nope. Not anymore. Now they dont allow any food at all. I recently travelled, I had some ointment in my pocket. They never found out about it. I wasnt even frisked in London where i thought security will be ultra tight. So some food might just go if you hide it somewhere but its a good idea not to take anything illegal.

I'm pretty sure you can't because even if you are allowed to take frozen food on the plane, wouldn't it melt?

Within stomach yes!
Otherwise falls under customs security carry on regulations- maybe.
