Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Has anyone here ever tried Torramatur? (A type of Icelandic Food)?),it will help you,my kids.
Answer:
I have eaten it a few times in my life. We hail from Iceland on my father's side of the family. Relatives prepared this food and it was served for festivals. It tastes a bit like Norwegian lutefisk and a bit like sweet and sour fish at your local Chinese place. It's supposed to have antibacterial qualities and is often given to family members who are feeling the effects of flu...although if you eat this food enough, you will probably NOT get the flu. You can still sample this food at most of the restaurants in Reykjavik. My daughter visited this city recently and reported that this fermented shark is on quite a few of the city's menus.
Shark is okay, not great but okay. The smell is worse then the taste. I've never tasted sour sheep-testicles (súrir hrútsspungar in icelandic), because I just don't like the name. Sheep head (svie) on the other hand is pretty good. Then there are lundabaggar, bringukollar, blóem?r og lifrarpylsa, which I don't know in english, but I think that some of it is okay, but not that much though. But the best Torramatur is dried-fish (harefiskur) and smoked lamb (hangikj?t).
I was there
but I didn't dare.
