Answer:
if you are in Ottawa, Bulk Barn surely has soya flour, I purchased my soya flour from Bulk Barn.
I found that Tesco's and Co-op are quite good for all sorts of gluten free foods.
Alternativly try a health food shop
You can buy soy flour from a local health food store. A great site about gluten free eating is at: http://glutenfreegirl.blogspot.com/...
I am GF too. I would recommend avoiding soya flour as you can develop allergies to soy. I am highly allergic to it. I recommend rice flour, potato flour, and tapioca flour, all available from health food stores. There are many mixed flours and baking mixes that are gluten free. Also you can find websites for arrowhead mills and Bobs red mill flours. There is a delicious brand of rice pasta available made by Tinkyada-absolutely yummy, better than any wheat pasta I ever had. tinkyada.com I asked my local grocery store to start carrying it and they did. Good luck on your diet-if you are new to this, try joining foodallergykitchen and livingwheatandglutenfree groups on yahoo groups. Lots of good info for newbies
Wholefoods has an entire aisle full of alternative flours. There is rice flour, soy flour, spelt flour etc. etc. etc.
Health food stores will also stock these things but they will charge you more for them.
Gluten allergies are tough to live with - good luck!
Any natural food store. They will also have cookbooks for gluten free cooking, and prepared products, including hot and cold cereals, breads, pastries and pastas, that are gluten free. They'll be able to tell you precisely what foods, even in their whole form, contain gluten.
