If so, what did it taste like?
Answer:
I have been living in Malaysia since 1994, the first time my room mate brought home durian, I made a big fuss. I really hated the smell. After I got married in 1995, my husband's family bought some durian and I really cried and lock myself in the room and I would never allow the fruit anywhere near me. My husband begged me to try so I did and I hated it. Even our dog loved durian.
Then in 2005, my collegue brought some durian from Melaka, the smell is not too bad and my collegues asks me to try it, just>custard!!!!!!!!...
when ripe and fresh, it has a scent, it not stinky, it has it's own unique fragrance. It flesh deep within many layers of white stringy covering, the fruit itself is yellow and eaten just like any typical fruits. It's sweet and rubbery like with an acquire taste.
