Kitty said: Yes.Have you ever tried Pupusas? What did you think?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Have you ever tried Pupusas? What did you think?),it will help you,my kids.
It is a traditional dish, from my country, El Salvador. I would like to know what people from other countries think about them. What did you like, what you didn't like? Where did you try them?
Definitively, the place to try them is here, at El Salvador, but abroad what is your fav place to eat them?
Answer:
Yes, I love them. My brother-in-law is from El Salvador so they make them. I like the ones with cheese, beans, and pork in them and serve them with curtido and salsa.
I use to drive my mother to the Farmers market on SUnday so we could have them for breakfast. We actually liked the pickeled cabage that comes with it better. Its a little bit spicy for us but it's still good.
edit:
I go to the Farmers market in Hollywood. THere are a lot of Pupuserias in Los Angeles. I had a few of them at down town in the central market. Most of the Pupuseria is a whole in the wall and not very accomadating to the non-El Salvadoreans. I prefer the lighter versions made for Americans.
My friends jokingly called them "little fried sacks of fat".
They are very delicious, but best when fresh and hot. especially the ones with cheese-uummmmm....
The pickled cabbage is great too.
I had a great El Salvadoran meal at a small restaurant in Baltimore MD, near Towson State University.
What are they? Never heard of them til now?
I love pupusas!
Fortunately we have a great Salvadoran community in DC area with lots of restaurants serving your national food.
Even better than the pupusas in restaurants are the home-made ones that my Salvadoran colleagues sometimes bring to work.
When they are well made, I love them!
there are lots of SalvadoreNO immigrants in the Washington, DC area and that's where I first ate pupusas...Yummy....I prefer the cheese to the pork, but I'll eat them both
They are scrumptious and so are their tamales, Closest ones to nacatamales that I get to have in the DFW area.
