Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Have you tried Haggis? what did you think of it?),it will help you,my kids.
I love it with neeps (turnip) and tatties.
Answer:
Yes...my step dad is Scottish and he made me try some.gorgeous.
it's discusting.. nasty stuff... it smells nasty too...
Loved it when I tried fresh Haggis, but hate the supermarket stuff
Loved it with mushy peas and mashed potato and swede with a lush red wine gravy
I have to say that I am relatively new to haggis. I first tasted it on honeymoon in Edinburgh (my hubby grew up in Scotland) and I really love it, especially battered (I know, sacriligious!!) It is also very nice with bashed neeps and tatties too.
I did try it once on New Year Eve and found it very pleasant, very bitty though.
Loved it!
I'm not too keen on it but when i cooked for my spouse he thought it was a beef burger and said it was ok, our son lives in Scotland and brought some down for us, you must be a scot if you had it with neeps and tatties, love your stovies they are delicious
it's ok as long as you dont think too long and hard about the parts of the sheep that make it up and drink lots of whisky with it... as it can be a little dry sometimes and as they dont do it with gravy, but yes very tasty... I lived in Irvine in Scotland for ab9out 4 years and ate loads of it, liked the shorts pies too and they are mutton... used to get a hot one and take a bite then drain all the fat out through the bite hole... yummy
Haggis supper with plenty of salt n sauce-Yeah baby, yeah!
It's very nice -- my Mum used to make it when I was growing up. Heavy though: not the sort of thing I'd want to eat every night.
Haggis is one of the best things to come out of Scotland! But it doesn't taste the same unless you eat it in Scotland! There is a little tavern on the Royal Mile that sells Haggis Towers which is a serving of haggis, neeps and tatties built up into a tower. It's excellent! If you haven't tried it I recommend it
