I want to cook something nice for my boyfriend, he's kurdish from Syria so any Syrian recipes would do too, thanks.

Answer:
How about falafel, hummus, etc?

Here are some recipes:

There's also a delicious type of pizza served throughout Anatolia and Syria called "lahmacun", see here:

For something a little bit more difficult to make, I recommend "icli kofte", there's a link here:

You should also serve salad and perhaps some yogurt (good quality Greek yogurt would do) which you could flavour with mint and/or garlic.

Enjoy the meal!!
There's a recipe book that I've been using for ages - it has lots of tips and proverbs as well as recipes from all over that area. It's called Vegetarian Dishes from the Middle East, by Arto der Haroutunian. You could probably find a similar one with meat recipes in a good bookshop. They seem to use more veggie dishes like hummus, salads like tabouleh, & soups, with meat being consumed in smaller quantities than we do, animals being hard to raise there, or killed for a special occasion. They use lots of fresh herbs, like mint and coriander. Middle Eastern food is similar to Greek.
I don't think he is Kurdish A C. I reckon he's peckish.
I'm looking for the same kind of things. Some great Kurdish dishes I've found thus far are Briani and Chicken Meklema. However, I had this cooked for me and do not know the recipe for either. If anyone knows please,please... let me know. Thanks
