but a search had one interesting result - a person in Iran offering to sell spices that included Sultana.
Is this an Arab spice?
Oh, and another search noted a business in Turkey selling spices and dried fruits and listed Sultana as one of the items they are selling... same region of the world -
I also find a few references to sultana in Indian cuisine but they apparently call rasins, sultana. it's a hindu word.
YIKES let me give the recommendation: find a local Arab market. We have them around here....many communities should...?
