Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.How bad/good for you is an indian jalfrezi curry?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(How bad/good for you is an indian jalfrezi curry?),it will help you,my kids.
I always have a jalfrezi, which is chicken, tomatoes, onions and green chilies, and a few other spices. It is not oily. I also have a naan bread, and a little rice
Do indian takeaways use good oils or bad oils to cook, and is it bad for you. After all, i cook it myself at home some times, and it would be deemed as a healthy meal, as it is just the ingredients above.
Answer:
Any Indian curry (meat or vegetable dish), if cooked at home in limited amount of oil/butter/ghee is healthy as it gives you a balanced amount of vitamins, carbs and proteins. Indian takeout is as healthy (or not) as a Chinese takeout or any other restaurant food.
Any kind of food cooked at home is always much healthier.
Oh, man! Please come to my house to cook dinner tonight?
wat
sometimes when you love something it is better not to know the consequenses. Enjoy!
I heard Indian takaways are very fattening. Which is criminal cos they are my fave. I think its better if you cook it at home, then you know what oil you are using and there is no colouring. I have had food in a resturant before where by the sauce is unnaturally red, ie preservatives and food colouring. Try and have bolied rice if you can (healthier) I find that you appreciate the taste of the curry more as well and i always have a chapati which is thinner bread and not oily. HMMMMMMMMMMM i really fancy a curry now
Makes no odds...goes through so quick I doubt it has much of an impact..except on the bottom of the pan!
lovely,its making me hungry
the ingredients you gave sound delicious and any Indian dish cant be bad for you lol. i love Indian.
Can i come to your house for dinner tonight?
they use ghee (clarified butter) and vegetable oil.
if you are cooking it at home you can control how much oil etc is used so no prob, plus you don't get the extra food colouring! sit back and enjoy.
depends on how strong your stomach is !!!
if you trust me....jalfarezi is the easiest as it's made with all the leftovers
It depends on the standard of the Indian takeaway you use. Just like any take away place there are good and bad. A good one would use good fresh ingredients
