Answer:
Season your taco meat with cumin, oregano, chili powder, garlic, tabasco or pepper flakes (if you like it spicy).
Fresh dill. It really brings out a flavor.
chili powder
pepper
paprika
garlic
cumin
nutmeg * just tiny pinch of it *
oregano
It depends. If your trying to make authentic Mexican tacos the use of CUMIN is ESSENICAL . Also season it with sweet paprika, powder chilies, onion powder and oregano.
yummy....here ya go!

HOMEMADE TACO SEASONING MIX

1 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. dry oregano
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

1. Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Store in a small jar.
2. Three tablespoons this mix equals one (1 1/4 oz.) package of commercial taco seasoning.

good luck!
I got a huge container of TacoSeasoning at Sam's Club and it has everything in it. It was super cheap too.

Barring that, i have used chili powder, cumin and pepper. It's pretty good if I do say so myself!
You can buy the little packets in the grocery store from Ortega or Old El Paso but they're not very good. Penzeys.com has a wonderful taco spice mixture. They also have good chili powders, cumin, and Mexican oregano as well as many kinds of excellent dried chili varieties.
sa`son
Dont listen to anyone else adobe is the greatest damn seasoning for meats period try it
onions, garlic (fresh minced), cumin, fresh cilantro, chili powder (I like Gebhardt's) use a good chili powder and also break up some chorizo into the beef or pork or minced chicken. A bit of homemade salsa and hot sauce too.

Then I put some refired beans to make it smooth and hold in the taco.

Fried taco shells are the best but to avoid the oil put in the oven
Try taco seasoning, it comes in a package all ready to go, directions and everything
Do NOT use dill, that guy must be crazy, that is mainly for mediterranean food. Use lots of cumin, garlic (fresh or powdered), and chili (New Mexican blend found in any grocery store). Also, add a little cayenne pepper(powder). It is VERY spicy, so be careful not to add too much, but it is a key ingredient in tacos. Adobo (a bottled mixed spice powder) is also a great spice to add, as most Mexicans add it to their food, it is like the Hispanic version of Lawry's seasoned salt (Lawry's is not a substitute as it is too sweet), and some regular salt. Also, add tomato sauce and/or chunks of tomatos, but just enough tomato sauce for flavor, not to make it too soupy. Good luck!
buy the taco seasoning from the supermarket, the best one are made by taco bell cost about 99cents per packet
