Answer:
The traditional recipe for tortillas has nothing else but corn dough (masa in spanish) and maybe some salt, just to flavor it a little.

Tortilla is made out of corn dough, but the real intention is to complement food with something bready, so flavored tortillas don't exist, but try adding some milk, it will give a soft kind of sweet flavor.

If your talking about wheat tortillas (In Mexico called "tortillas de harina") the ones used in burritos, try adding pork fat when making the masa and again a a little milk.

This is almost an artistic way of making tortillas, it's the traditional recipe that started thousands of years ago. If you need help with translation just ask me =D
hey friend, flavor, means spices:
go to an open market for natural products....there you′ll find hundreds of natural spcies.......ask for the right to smell them..........and those you like, you buy.....but go slow, natural spices are strong, just a little bit, either liquid or dry, never put too much..........
Let's start first by understanding Masa. Masa is used to make tamales. So if you want to make tortillas you should use flour or corn meal. You can add mexican spices to Masa to make your tamales. Tortillas are usually bland, four tortillas are made with flour, water, lard and salt; Corn tortillas are usually made with corn meal, water, lime juice, salt. You roll out flour tortillas and put press out corn tortillas. Hope this helps.
i have heard of spinach tortillas and chili powder tortillas, i got it in a Mexican cookbook

2 cups all-purpose
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
1/2 cup warm water

combine first three ingredients, add shortening. add warm water..until dough comes together. let rest for 15 minutes. divide in 12 equal portions, shape into balls. roll out into 10-inch circles cook until puffy about 30 seconds on each side.

spinach tortillas
prepare as above except add 1/3 cup very finely chopped, well drained, cooked spinach with the flour.

chili powder tortillas
prepare as above, except add 1 tablespoon ancho chili powder or chili powder to the flour mixture (add more water if necessary)
sundried tomatoes chopped
um...try eating more flavorful foods with the tortillas.....
not trying to be a smart *** sorry.
I have made tamales with barbecue sauce added to the masa dough. I am assuming this would work for tortillas. They were amazingly flavorful.
