mac and cheese is so good i hate it to be cooked in the oven i like it cheesey and creamy and tasty i love to add beef and salsa some times too

Good question! This is just an assumption, but since the Chinese were the 1st to invent noodles and the Italians kind of took 2nd place, I would assume that 1 day some nice Italian Grandma substituted her usual Mozzarella or Provolone cheese and added Cheddar instead....when she saw how creamy it was, viola! Mac and cheese!
