Well, the very FEW Chinese people who ever consider cooking rats at all, probably cook them with one HELL of a lot of spices! Fortunately, most Chinese people have NEVER eaten rat, and wouldn't even CONSIDER eating it except in the most extreme and dire circumstances!
if they were to eat rats they would probably spit-roast them. thats how peruvians do there guinia pigs anyway.
I couldn't find much evidence that they do, except when forced to by poverty; of course, rat-meat is not substantially different from the meat of any other small mammal. The French ate a lot of rat during the Revolution, and they mostly ate critters that had drowned in barrels of wine and marinated a while. quite delicious, I would imagine.
More mysterious is 'How do the British stomach beans on toast'?
No, chinese do not cook rats as far as I know......not to my knowledge....But I have heard in the old days (some 60 to 70 years ago)that they eat baby mice/rats??? for medicinal purposes when they are poor... raw......By the way...... I am Chinese..
