To saute onions,first you heat eather olive oil,or any kind of cooking oil on med,heat.It`s very important to make sure the pan is preheated.Then you slice up some onions thin,add salt and pepper and saute till golden and cooked through.
Now, if your talking about onion rings here`s a great recipe for that: Preheat a few inches of oil.You`ll know when it`t hot enough if you take the back of a wooden spoon and stick it in the oil and you see little bubbles all around the spoon.Take about a cup of flour,a tablespoon of baking powder,cayenne pepper,salt,and any other kind of spice you like and add to flour mixture.Add water until you have a pancake type batter.Slice onions into rings and separate them.One onion makes alot!Fry till golden.Salt them as soon as they come out of the hot oil and eat right away.
