Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(How do you make Edamame restaurant style? I have tried it at home but it doesn't),it will help you,my kids.
At the restaurant they taste really salty and have a good crunch to them.
Mine taste like noting no matter how much salt I put in the water.
Answer:
You need to get fresh Edamame and boil it with salted water, then drain it and use Japanese sea salt to flavor the Edamame.
Japanese sea salt is very coarse and it's not like normal kitchen salt. If you don't want to use Japanese sea salt, kosher or coarse sea salt works just fine.
And add probably 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of salt to 1 to 2 cups of Edamame. You can adjust the amont of salt according to your taste.
And also if you can't find fresh Edamame, get frozen one. And try not to overboil Edamame.
Steam them, then toss the cooked edamame with some kosher salt.
I wish I knew, I love edamame
Buy a good product - usually frozen, in the shell
In VERY SALTY water boil - Quickly (you don't want to over cook).
Be experimental, do a few at a time, until you get enough salt in a short time.
