Answer:
A non stick pan, a small amount of oil, once they have started to brown, a small amount of water, a tight lid, and cook them until the water has evaporated, like potstickers, you can use the pre-made wonton skins, filling are similar to the first respondant, pork, cabbage, shrimp, ginger, soya sauce, green onions, water chestnuts and spicing is your choice (made in a food processor for fine chopped texture), I like spicier ones but it can be adjusted.
I was a Chef in Canada for 20 years, worked with/for Asian staffs/ownership, and got alot of heads up experience with these dishes, experiment with the fillings, find one your happy with and make it your own.
I use the rice floor and water. Then cabbage, mushroom and carrots to stuff the pastry with. Put them in boiling water for a few minutes and then grill them. They're nearly as good as the Chinese ones. Good luck!
You can grill them on a griddle or grill pan. If you fry them, you will not have the same effect.
I don't like writing long things on Youtunr.com. Email me.
I have shrimp dumplings, veggie dumplings, etc.etc. recipes.
