I have heard it pronounced "Tor-tay" and "Tort".

Thank you for all of your thoughts and opinions, I wasn't sure which catagory...This seemed the most appropriate.

Answer:
tort
Tor-schay
Oh Annie, you are so sweet. I don't know the answer to your question.
Tort is the way you pronounce it
Tort. It's french, so the trailing e is silent.
tort
One syllable - rhyme with port

It's a french thing I think... silent e at the end... shrug
Tort.
Tort - the link belows even has a speaker on how to pronounce it.

Hey Annie,

If you are referring to the Dessert or Appetizer from Europe (Not Spain) then it is:

TORT

If you are referring to the Mexican or Spainish Sandwhich, then it is:

TORT - a (The a is pronounced as in massage)

Hope this helps,

James in San Diego
