i haven't made homemade beans in a long time, and i forgot to soak my frijoles, how long will it take for them to cook from raw stage?
Answer:
I make beans everyday nd I never soak them I just was them put them in water and boil. It usually takes like 3 hours but make sure u watch them so the water doesn't boil out
if you use the boiling method instead, the entire process will take about 2.5 hours, maybe a bit less.
My guess is about 3 hours. I have often wondered though, what would happen if you soaked the frijoles during the day instead of overnight. Most recipes call for overnight.
4 1/2 hours on medium heat. That's my educated guess.
The best way to find out is to start cooking it and keep an eye on it.
Boil them and let them soak for an hour, covered and off the heat, drain, put fresh water, then cook.
