It depends on where you go. Sushi/restaraunt places are pretty reasonable. The grocery stores now sell those premade sushi pieces at affordable prices. The elite expensive sushi restaurants with the conveyor belts charge by the plate. So again it depends on where you go :D

It depends where you go and what kind of sushi you get. Out of all the places I've been to, the average price for sushi I've seen is about $2.00 to $4.00 each.

High quality sushi costs accordingly: a good sashimi/ nigiri piece ( real sushi) can be $ 4 - $ 6, Oh-Toro ( marbled Tuna) if sold at market price can go @ $9 a piece; Chu-Toro ( semi-marbled tuna) can be $ 7.
So, pricey. Though is worth every penny. But I am a foodie, if you have more passion for other pleasures of life, you might think differently.
It can be anywhere from $5.95 for an appetizer to $70.00 for a dinner, depending on how much you want to eat, I usually pay around $70.00 for the dinner and get take out. I love Sushi.
