Answer:
Are you looking for an authentic Hawaiian dish? If so, e-mail me and I can give you some ideas.

Nothing above is really "Hawaiian." But it may be what you are looking for.
go to the library, they have tons of cookbooks!!!
what about a fruit pizza?? cut up frozen cookie dough and bake as directed on a pizza pan. mix dream whip as directed then add cream cheese. spread over the cooled cookie crust. top with fresh fruit such as pineapple, oranges, bananas, blue berries, kiwi, strawberries. hope you enjoy your party and this pizza!!
Anything with pineapple, or coconut, or if your really adventurous, SPAM (spiced pork and meat)
i saw emeril make one of these on TV and it looked pretty good.

i suggest a poke (it's pronounced something like "pokey"). it's pretty much chopped up raw tuna, if you can get good good sushi grade tuna, it'll kill (i mean go over really well, not actually kill).

here's a basic recipe from http://www.allrecipes.com

INGREDIENTS
2 pounds fresh tuna steaks, cubed
1 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup chopped green onions
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper (optional)
2 tablespoons finely chopped macadamia nuts
DIRECTIONS
In a medium size non-reactive bowl, combine Ahi, soy sauce, green onions, sesame oil, sesame seeds, chili pepper, and macadamia nuts; mix well. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

and if you're feeling like being a fancy-pants, here's a link to emeril's version:

http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/...

it uses a couple extra ingredients (most of which should still be readily available at your local asian food store) and is presented better.

still, as you can find good fresh, tuna (frozen is ok, but not as good as sushi-grade) either one will be delicious.
Easy Hawaiian Chicken Packets

INGREDIENTS

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 cup bottled teriyaki sauce or marinade
1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
1 onion, chopped
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained

DIRECTIONS

Preheat a grill for medium-high heat.
Lay out four squares of aluminum foil. Place one piece of chicken in the center of each square. Pour the teriyaki sauce over them, turning to coat. Distribute equal amounts of the green and red peppers, onion and pineapple chunks amongst the chicken pieces. Fold the foil up and seal tightly into packets.

Place the packets on the grill, and cook for about 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear. (Can bake in a regular oven at 350 degrees until done, too.)

Serve the chicken over Coconut Rice:

1 cup White rice
1 can Coconut milk
1 cup Water
1/2 cup slivered almonds (toasted if desired)

Preparation:

Sautee rice in a couple tablespoons of the coconut milk on medium-high in a pot for two minutes. Add rest of coconut milk and water, bring to a boil, cover, then reduce heat to low. Simmer until liquid is reduced. (approx. 20 min.)

Add slivered almonds. Fluff rice with a fork and serve.
Easy Hawaiian Chicken Wings

1 1/2 cups finely chopped pineapples
3/4 cup bottled barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
20 chicken wings, split,discard tips
In a large bowl (non metallic) combine pineapple, barbecue sauce, soy sauce and ginger in.
Add chicken, turning to coat all sides.
Cover and marinate 15 minutes in refrigerator.
Grill or broil chicken 15 to 20 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink, brushing occasionally with marinade and turning once halfway through cooking.
Discard any remaining marinade.
Garnish with pineapple wedges if desired.

I just did a big Hawaiian themed kids club for a weekend and had to provide morning tea for the kids. I made heaps of little banana/coconut muffins and iced them with blue icing, I decorated them with tiny paper pineapple drink stirrers and tiny paper umbrellas and candy pineapples and bananas - they were much more popular than the fruit platters! AND SO CUTE!
Make kabobs with chicken and pineapple! So yummy!
