Try a dhansak. It can be quite hot. My Misses gets a chicken tikka dhansak at madras strength. It is about as Indian as I am but tastes soooo nice.

The takeaway near my Mum's is great. Whenever we visit her I always have chicken Korma (vey mild) and pilau rice. Starts: prawn and pourri. Yum.
I need to visit my Mum more often. lol

Try butter chicken - its quiet mild but a million times better than a korma - not all takeaways do it though. My fave is chicken dupiaza, onion bargees loads of mint raita and onion salad ... mmm ! (sorry about spelling ... i need to sort it out!)
mine is chicken korma but have a vindaloo instead.

I happen to prefer Thai or Malaysian curry over Indian curry, yellow is my favorite. Although, I love chicken Korma (yogurt sauce, not curry)
