Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(I just got back from Greece - Rhodes and am looking for a good cookbook. Any sug),it will help you,my kids.

We had dishes like Buiguirdi, meatballs with pine nuts, pastry cases with beef and mint, stifado, spanakopita but other dishes which denote the diversity of Rhodes history. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Shrimp, Mussels saganaki, greek garlic bread, the different types of cheese and walnut cake and apple pie(the greek way). I learned the wonderful things that can be done with honey and using oil. Its the first vacation where I ate everything I wanted and didn't get sick or feel uncomfortable. I would be grateful for any suggestions and names of authors. Oh and if any has the name of some current greek music groups I would be really grateful.

Answer:
One of the best cookbooks I have found is called: "Greek Cooking for the Gods". It is and excellent one.
Very cool place. I love Greece. I've spent a few years there with the military. Rhodes was one of my favorite places. You can get some of the dishes on Food Network.

I don't have time for all that explanation stuff
I have 3 cook books
Two from Athens
http://www.ahtens.com
Award winning Fillo Dough Recipes
Easy to Elegant Filling recipes
the third from Krinos
It does not list a web site But I'll bet it is krinos.com
Greek Gourmet Cookbook
Keep your questions simple.
Not sure if it has the Rhodes history or not, but I love The Complete Book of Greek Cooking by St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church. When I first discovered Greek food, I found this in a local Greek restaurant/shop and I started cooking away. My friends are very grateful!
