I'd like to have an authentic recipe to make the japanese fish cake < kamaboko > because I love it so much and sometimes couldn't find it in an stores, thank you!!

Answer:
Apparently the process is so complex and delicate, no one makes it at home! They all buy it ready made from the stores.

Anyway, I am sure you can easily find it any Japanese/Asian market.

If not:

I don't know of anyone who makes it at home either. If the other 2 web sites don't work out lmk I'll see what companies in Hawaii might be able to help.
i don't know if you will find a recipe since people do not make kamaboko at home - it's something you go out and buy in the store.
Sorry, I looked all over and was unable to find the kamaboko authentic recipe and I decide to send you this one which is really delicious, please try it!!!

Add dill, parsley, chives, lemon rind and juice, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.
Divide mixture into eight portions and form into balls.
Flatten each ball to about 1 inch thick.
Dip each cake in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs thoroughly coating with each.
Fry fish cakes in oil over medium high heat until golden brown and crispy about 5-8 minutes on each side.
You can serve with a tartar sauce or some other condiment but really they are great just with a squeeze of lemon or a dash of tabasco.
