Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Korma, do ingredients matter?),it will help you,my kids.
Some recipies say to use ground almonds in a korma, others to use coconut, allergies of dinner guests aside, which is best?
Answers:
as long u got the kurma spices right, tt's all it matters.
u can omit the cashews/almonds alltogether coz of certain allergic reactions. have tt on the side along w/ur briyani rice or something for the guest to mix it in b4 serving.
just have the main spices tt makes up a good kurma like
cardamons, star aniseeds, cinnamon sticks, mustard seeds,
fenugreek, poppy seeds, coconut milk &/ yogurt, & don't forget the "bombay onion" !!! hehehe..actually, just get those packed premix kurma powder, onions, tomato, yogurt & coconut milk will b just simple & nice. they don't put almonds & cashews in those store bought premix kurma powder.
hope u're having lamb kurma, love those !! enjoy :)
Other Answers:
No almonds please

Depends on one taste as to what you really want to use. as long it is spicy and lots of ghee or oil nothing else is required
Korma (Qorma) is a dish originating in Bengladesh. Really, any curry dish made using coconut milk might be called Korma. I would not be surprised if some recipies called for almonds or cashews instead of coconut- it's worth trying, but coconut milk gives terrific results. If you want to experiment with the flavors of these nuts, add some to your coconut milk and puree them together in a blender. ... Actually that's a good idea. I think I'm gonna try that tonight. :)
