we usually buy ready-to-fry kerupuk bawang. try to go to China town in your area. they usually have kerupuk bawang either from Malaysia or Indonesia.
good luck in searching for the recipe though.
btw for Simon, bawang isnt omelet. bawang means onion in Malay/Indonesian word :)
