There are two African grocers at the Florida Avenue market downtown. There's the All African Market and Obeng International 300 block of Morse St. NE 202-544-8255 M-Sat 7am-4pmThere are at least two (plus an Indian market or two) in the strip mall in the 3800 block of South George Mason Drive, just south of Rte 7 at Bailey's Crossroads, Alexandria.

There is an "African Latino Market" on Columbia Pike, in Arlington, not too far from where George Mason crosses the Pike, and there was a nice little Ethiopian market off Columbia Pike on S. Edgewood Street.

Hanna's Exotic Market is just off Beauregard in Landmark, near the Total Wine. On Pickett St off Van Dorn there is another Ethiopian market.
There is also an African market in Frederick, MD. Check out Tropical Market at the corner of North Market and Seventh St.
