-Briyani Gum (i've tasted similar briyani gum in burma as well but the taste differs slightly)
-Ketupat rice (boiled in hand woven coconut leaf)
-Nasi impit (cubed rice)
-Lemang (sticky rice stuffed in bamboo stem)
-Pulut kuning (yellow sticky rice -mostly used in special ceremony/celebration)
-Bubur putih Bubur merah - special porridge commonly used to mark certain ceremony/celebration.
-nasi lemak (coconut rice)
Dishes consists of:
-Rendang -beef/chicken
-Ikan bakar -barbeque fish with a generous amount of chili paste spreads all over the top
-Ikan bakar lemak cili api (grilled fish cooked in chili coconut gravy)
-Otak-otak (fish paste/cutlet)
-Botok-botok (whole fish cooked in fresh herbs)
-Masak kicap (chicken/beef/fish cooked in soy sauce)
