Answers:
good starters are always:
1) Chicken Tikka Masala (or Malai Kofta if you are Vegeterian)
2) Anything that comes out of a Tandoor is very hard to mess up, so Tandoor Chicken or something like that.
3) ALWAYS order at least one or two naan (flat bread)
4) for desert, Gulab Jamun is EXCELLENT!!!

You can't go wrong with the meal described above

Kashmiri chicken (or chicken Kashmiri, depending on the restaurant), papad, naan, basmati rice, and mango lassi to drink. ferutinni alfredo

pad thai

masaman curry Tandoori Chicken
Fry Bread

first of the appetizer, try the vege samosa - crispy flour patties stuffed w/ delicately spiced potatoes & peas. then, go to their special sheesh kebabs ie. lamb/beef - ground meats marinated w/fresh ground spices, rolled on a skewer & grilled/baked. i feel the chicken tandoori is quite a specialty, it's juicy spring chk. marinated in yogurt & fresh ground spices & grilled afterwards. u could always try their curries like the beef saag, juicy pieces of beef sauteed w/creamed spinach, ginger, w/light seoning of herbs & spices. their rice specials r unlike eating chk fried rice from the chinese restaurants. they have wide arrange of saffron flavored "basmati" rice cooked w/ mixed veges/meats garmished w/nuts & raisins, good w/any curry. or if u prefer eating curries w/bread - they call it naan, u could give tt a shot. the breads r a delicacy, have a few varieties as well, it's a white leavened bread cooked on an iron skillet. they have the other bread called the pratha, it's an unleavened layered whole wheat bread, it's good too. to top it off, try kheer for dessert, it's a rice pudding w/ raisins, nuts, garnished w/chopped greany leafs.
whatever u choose, it's all good. just read their descriptions properly, & have ur pick ! enjoy :) I like Roghan Josh, which is a lamb dish cooked in a cream sauce. Also good is Butter Chicken. Cilantro Naans are yummy flat bread. & Kheer (rice pudding flavoured with saffron & almonds) is a good dessert. My favourite beverage is mango lassi - a pureed mango yogurt drink!
