What are the benefits of using organic products and where can i find them especially in Kenya?
Answer:
Kenya farmers embrace organic farming
Sue Kahumbu, an organic farmer in Limuru, Kenya does not need to budget for artificial chemical pesticides. Artificial fertilisers too do not feature in her food production costs. She rears visibly hybrid chicken but they produce eggs rich in nutrients and in taste than the traditional chicken. The milk from her cow is equally richer in nutrients than the conventional cows.
The global bird-flu scare, the spinach health scare in America and even the gaseous causing vegetables consumed locally have all one common feature; they offer a market opportunity for Kenya’s growing pool of organic farmers. Ms Hannah Wambui, a member of the group started growing a vegetable crop known as asparagus several years ago. When she first took it to a hotel in Naivasha, they bought it for Sh140 per kilo. Since then, she and her colleagues have never looked back.
“This crop is the only source of our income,” says Wambui. “Asparagus has really changes the lives of farmers in this area,” says Mr. Benson Chege, the group’s secretary. “Most of them now have regular income unlike in the past when they relied on pyrethrum for regular income.”
Welcome to the world of organic farming, where the produce is as natural as God intended it to be. It is a system of farming that was practised by our forefathers albeit with little alteration because of new knowledge and the fusion between Africa and the western culture.

organic food don't contain chemical which make the food last longer.they are more healthier.
where is Kenya?
In organic food, there are no chemicals or pesticides in the food. It all basically is dependant on where they grow the produce. When farmers grow organic food, they have to use no pesticides or 'plumpers' and they have to use organic soil, as well as being a certain distance from pesticide soil, so as not to contaminate the organic food. I don't live in Kenya, so I wouldn't know, but you can find most organic food, mostly produce, in any major supermarket.
