What is your favorite brand?
Answer:
San Marcos. They have hot pickled carrot slices in the can with the jalapenos. YUM!
Ortega's good, but we've been buying Guiliano lately. They're the same, it's whatever's cheapest.
don't like them only fresh ones are the hottest
La Costena
San Marcos are the best brand out there, they taste homade.
If you like to make them yourself, is soooo easy :D
1 lb jalapeno peppers
1 carrot sliced 1/4 of an inch
3 small onions quartered
12 peeled garlic cloves
1 large bayleaf
4 thyme sticks
1 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup boiling water
in a non stick pan, sautee the peppers and the vegetables with corn oil . Sautee for at least 8 minutes until you see them getting roasted. then add salt and pepper and vinegar sautee one min and add the the boiling water. taste to season and let it steam for 3 min. Do not over cook. Remove from the heat and you can save it for up to 2 weeks.
They taste very good!
