So, I was at this asian store and i couldnt help but notice that they sell PORK BLOOD.why on earth would you buy pork blood? Could somebody please elaborate?
Answers:
pork blood soup called dinuguan. When cooked the blood turns chocolate brown. So we also call it chocolate soup.
Other Answers:
Asian people eat anything cooked. I mean if you have a pig, they can eat from top to the end, inside out as long as they are cooked. Pork blood is like tofu, or jello. Steam it and you will like it. They eat pork brains too. Very smooth and juicy!
Also there are some good stuff from animals too. For example, deer's horn can be good as herbal medicine.
Robin's spit is also good for the health
Snake's heart or (juice from it) is also good.
Just like mushroom, when you look at it in a way that you don't know, you would wonder how people could eat fungus from the wood/trees!!! Same mentality, but different food!
Some of us asians like to buy it and keep it in the fridge just to mess with our non-asian friends. If you give an Asian family a whole pig, nothing will be waste. Even the bones will be made into buttons and the pig hair will be made into brushes for painting (which are very expensive). To answer your question about pork blood is that they did not have vitamin back then, and it is also to recharge your body if you are weak. There are many ways to prepare this particular dish. You learn something new every day. If you always take a vitamin every day, why not try something different.
Maybe some of the asian country. But In Indonesia we never use pork blood.ewww
Don't knock it until u try it!!! In my family my mom would use it for stir fry. But it's usually put in rice porridge in my culture. It does not taste like blood. U should try it maybe u will like it.
