Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Salted eggs?),it will help you,my kids.
In Thailand I have buyed eggs on the market that where boilt and somehow got salted when they still had the skin on them. How do you do that? I know that eggskin is able to let through flavours, but do you boil them first and then marinate? Or do you put them in a marinade for a certain time and then boil them in it?
Does anybody have a recipe for it?
Answers:
Neither. You do not boil the eggs at all to get them salted. You just put the raw egg in the salted water solution and leave it for several weeks. A friend of mine salts hers without using water at all but I'm not sure what the process is. I guess after they're salted you can boil them if that's how you like to eat them but I've never had them like that. We put the egg (in shell) on top of rice and let it steam cook, or we mix the salted egg with regular eggs and ground pork and steam the mixture (texture is almost like a quiche but lighter), or we use to make tamales.
It would appear people do this differently in different countries...interesting.
Other Answers:
back home, we have plenty of them in the market, it was colored dark red/pinkish or magenta for presentation. my friend used to do this business, she soak them in salty water for several weeks and some were cured by placing the raw eggs in the mud with some salt and added solution for preservation. then after the process, it bring to a boil for consummation. some people prefer duck eggs cause it's bigger than the chicken egg. i guess chinese do differently and they call them century egg?

They pickle them in salt water first. Then boil them. Google it. Like the previous answers, it's pretty simple. You just put the raw eggs in salted water and cover it. It only takes a few days before they become salty. When you want to eat them you just boil them like regular eggs.
