I am Hindhu and I am not allowed to eat steak. I really want to try it, but I have to be faithful to my religion! Should I betray my religion or should I throw away the chances of eating beef?
Answers:
I'm Hindu, and I have never eaten beef. Actually, I have never eaten any kind of meat, at all. The first thing I have to tell you is to ignore all the answers telling you that "beef is good, try it" or "beef is bad." This isn't something that has to do with the general taste of beef. I certainly understand your feelings about wanting to try it, but I myself never have. It depends on how religious you are. Some of my Indian friends eat beef, and have no qualms about doing so, while others stick rigidly to the vegetarian principles of Hinduism and don't even eat eggs. This isn't a question that anyone can answer for you, or tell you what to do. It's a choice you have to make for yourself. Good luck!

Steak is good...Try A1 on it
Don't. My friend NEVER betrays the religion. By the way, steak is really bad. no
That is your decision. I am not Indian, but a vegetarian of 9 years (I'm 19). If you want to try it, will you be comfortable with your decision later? Will it bother you? If you think you will have no regrets, I see no harm in trying to eat steak. It is up to you, you will have to live with your decision, for the rest of your life.
you aren't really missing that much.
if you REALLY feel compelled to try steak, consider non-bovine options like venison or buffalo - they taste pretty similar
No God or man is going to feel betrayed if you eat steak. Its your personal decision. Dont do it, if you are going to feel guilty. Well, i eat fish and chicken but no other meats and i am not betraying my religion.
Eat it, the reason hinduism bans the eating of beef and not other meat, is for purely the economic reason of being able to sell its milk and the value of its manure. These days, as you probably dont own cows, that restriction does not fully apply. Hinduism is also a crock indigeniuous religion with no basis in its beliefs of names for its deities. Its like Greek religion or Roman religion or ancient egyptian religion. I wonder why all hindus didnt become muslim under the mughal empire, probably akbar and his deen-i-ilahi's fault
