scallions are just green onions or "spring" onions or as a gardner would call them "set" onions.
They look just like green onions.
Scallions are green vegetables. They are usually about 14 inches long. They are white at the bottom of them. Hope this helps!

and then click search
They look similar to small onions except the skin is a little darker and they are more oval shaped. The flavor is more mild than white onion.
Many people mistake green onions for scallions. They are not the same thing. Green onions have green stalks and white tips. If left in the ground then the bulb grows, the green dies off and you have a scalion.

I can't tell one from the other except for how fat or tall they are.
green onions
Green onions. They are white on bottom fading to dark green round cylinders on the top. Generally the white is 1/2 " or so in diameter and the top is about 1.5' tall.
Just another name for green onion.
It's also called green onion or spring onion. It's long and green, like a small skinny version of leek.
