Kitty said: Yes.Taco Bell- a haven for monotony?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Taco Bell- a haven for monotony?),it will help you,my kids.
Taco Bell is awesome, but why is a lot of their different selections basicly the same thing?
Answers:
Food for the masses. Taco Bell and other huge chains have food chemistry staff, test kitchens, focus groups which decide which item on the menu will appeal to the most people. Profit is all important.
Other Answers:
It's all economics.
For example, if you buy a bunch of groceries for your weekly menu, you won't always have just exactly what your recipe/taste calls for - you'll usually have extra. Why go out and buy more stuff to add to that, when you can just use what you have? Makes things easy and cheap.
Taco Bell and most every other chain restaurant isn't going to go out and get a particular veggie or meat to use for just one dish - it will be used for more. Ever notice how a place will have chicken fried steak, but also chicken fried chicken, fried chicken tenders, fried corn, fried mushrooms, etc - and the breading tastes the same? They don't want to waste the flour mix and oil on just one dish.
Prime example - a particular restaurant in my area that I used to work with made a big deal out of offering shepherd's pie among other menu changes. What was shepherd's pie? It was meat loaf (which we already offered) cut up with carrots, green beans and corn (which we had as sides) with some brown gravy (which we used) put in a bowl, topped off with mashed potatoes (which we ALWAYS had), with some cheese on top and melted (cheese we already had). We basically added another choice without adding additional overhead food costs.
Taco Bell just makes different things out of what they have. Once those things get old and passe, they will add another thing to the menu and do the whole thing over again.
I'd rather go to Baja Fresh, or Chili's, etc if I'm craving mexican food. TB is just not food! And I've heard of too many health code violations of other "stuff" in their food. Blech.
