I was wondering what irish lunches usually consist of because most of the things I have found I would think are dinner entrees and have been told many are dinner entrees... So, do Irish usually just not eat lunch, my grandfather, who is Irish, from Dublin, hardly ever eats lunch... Is this just him or do the Irish just not eat lunch?
Answer:
Well my lunch today consisted of a cup of tea, a glass of orange juice, three slices of cheese, some wholegrain bread, some relish, two tomatoes and an apple.
I rarely skip lunch, and neither do my friends. But I suppose those who have a huge breakfast won't be hungry until dinner, especially if the breakfast includes eggs, sausages, rashers, black and white pudding and toast. And maybe some other things on the side :)
a seven course meal is a six pack and a potato
corned beef and cabbage.
my boyfriend is from Dublin. and he doesn't eat lunch either. but he mostly eats American food. hmm i guess this wasn't a good answer. blood sausage i herd that they have that in Ireland.
bacon and cabbage
If you've seen an Irish breakfast you'd know why they don't eat lunch. They know how to start the day.
Booze?
I am from Ireland and I don't necessarily have to have a lunch! We have the same eating habits as you do in the states. Breakfast in the morning, Lunch, (when you are hungry) which would consist of (What ever you are in the mood for) and a dinner in the evening (Which could range from a roast dinner to a Cajun chicken caeser salad with fries). We do not just eat stereotypical dinners like corned beef and cabbage! I have never even tasted corned beef. That is what Irish Americans think we eat. I find it amusing being honest!
