Thanks!
Answer:
Ok. Firstly eel is fatty and so is salmon, but they contain good fats. Also, it is not true that there are no sugars added...sushi rice is made with sugar and vinegar. When it is all put into prespective sushi is not that fattening (I would avoid spider roll and tempura sushi as those contain fried food). If you are really concerned about weight loss, try sashimi. That is raw fish without the rice. It is yummy and you are not getting all those refined carbs! Also try using light soy sauce as it is lower in sodium and you will retain less water.
They're all low calorie --- no fats or sugars added. Enjoy!
A quick tip is that California handroll has the highest calorie count thanks to the mayo, and raw, so-called 'cooked', and so-called 'seasoned' dishes have less calories than fried dishes and anything with mayonnaise eg egg salad. Grilled dishes fall somewhere in between. Best bets include edamame (furry beans), cold tofu (if you like the stuff, that is) and raw fish sushi (ditto - I can't stand raw fish). Sushi with 'seasoned' scallop and jellyfish are actually raw with plenty of seasonings, but they've no added fat.
Edit: If your favourites are crab and eel for example, just take into account how they are cooked, and choose your pleasure.
it doesn't matter....all sushi can make u sick...eat beef !!!
Need more info.
Sushi is a slice of fish, shrimp or crab on top of a rice ball. If sugar is your main concern, then ask for chirashi with plain sushi rice. That means, after the Japanese rice is finished cooking, they will not add any vinegar dressing, which content sugar. The sushi chef normally save some rice for tempura dinners.
The Sashimi pieces (pieces of fish) are the lowest, about 20-30 calories per piece.
The typical California roll is about 280 calories
The spicy tuna roll is about 330 calories
The tempaura roll is about 420 calories
Most of the calories will come from the rice, believe it or not in that the vinegar that holds it together is high in sugar.
