That is a good question....this year my body has added too many unwanted pounds...so....since I don't need to smell, test taste, and finally eat all those wonderful traditional foods on Thanksgiving day...I plan on making some Turkey salad and have some fresh fruit....the salad would be composed of Romaine lettuce, sweet onions, Tomatoes, red bell peppers (sweet), Italian parsley, garlic/Parmesan croutons....and hard boiled egg....oh and the TURKEY....with fat free blue cheese dressing.... this way I can have my turkey and veggies without the guilt.....
I wanna go all out.....haha!! Turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, peas, asparagus with cheese (maybe the cheese), rolls, gravy, Mac N' Cheese, stuffing....etc!!!
Deep fried turkey, sweet potato praline, mashed potatoes, broccoli cauliflower casserole, biscuits, lemon merange ,pumpkin pies and home made cheese cake and
Roast beef, roast potatoes and parsnips, yorkshire puddings and peas and carrots. To make it more traditional will end with pumpkin pie for dessert.
I'm baking a ham, will have roast potatoes, squash, salad, corn, pumpkin pie, cherry pie, and assorted squares.
Happy Thanks day, everyone!
(Everyone's sounds so good - am intrigued by what Little Ou__'s "cookie salad" is...)
