Main staple is Goat all of the parts. They also eat Halal Chicken & Beef if Goat is not found.
It takes some getting used to, but it is their spices, rice, and meats that are used. I am an American and I married a Somali man, I barely eat their foods as I hate rice, meat, and cinnamon. But one thing I like is Sambusa, it is basically hamburger, spices, and leeks all in an egg roll wrap and deep fried! They use a lot of oil and fish as well. I do not eat it, but I do try and cook it for my husband and our children like it as well, but I cook a lot of American food as well! By the way, I think that you really ought to put some thought into your question before you ask it next time, I found this highly offensive. I am sure that if YOU were Somali, you would not like to see this online, would you?
