Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days,anyone help us?

Actually, composting is your best bet if you don't want to eat it. Most of it's flavor is spent & once boiled, it doesn't store well.
Make Shiokombu(塩昆布). Cut the kombu into a square (about 1 cm x 1 cm), put them into a pan, add a little water, soy, mirin, and a little bit of suger. Boil down on a low heat.
The quantity of each incrediants is up to you. If you like sweet one, put more mirin than soy.
