Answers:
If you are out at the store try montreal steak seasoning.
The brand shouldn't matter.
What I serve is 1 pound Grd beef, 2.5 tablesp. Worcestershire, 2 Tablesp. chopped garlic, Half a chopped Vidalia onion, Salt and pepper to taste( meaning work with it a couple times to see how you like it.

if you are making the hamburger patties yourself, I have heard mixing barbeque sauce in with the raw meat is good, and I have also seen people mix in dry mix to flavor their burgers.
I am a vegitarian though, so I'm pretty much going by hearsay. Hope it helps a little though!
onion soup dry mix The absolute best seasoning for a grilled burger is no seasoning at all. Mix 1/2 ground round with 1/2 ground sirloin. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt just to enhance the flavor of the meat.
If you want more flavor for your burger, do it with the add ons. Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. etc..
A healthy does of salt and pepper, Minced onions and garlic, and a little hit of liquid smoke. Less is more let the meat do the talking. Oh and a great quality ground chuck! 1lb hamburger meat, A tablespoon of Lawry's season salt, 1 teaspoon lea and per-in sauce, your favorite BBQ sauce(you as much as you think but not too much). Some smoke flavoring and then you need some crumbled crackers(helps meat stick better optional) Baste as you cook the meat and you have a real tasty burger. This is how my family has been having burgers FOR A LONG TIME. but THE TRUE WAY TO FIX A BURGER IS your own way!!! lol

I like to buy good quality pre-pressed burgers, (Costco burgers are what I use). Then I make this marinade:
1/2 cup soy sauce (I like Kikkoman)
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon course ground pepper
2 teaspoons dried mustard
1 tablespoon onion powder (not onion salt)
2 tablespoons dried parsely
1 clove of garlic (minced)
I then throw the frozen patties in the marinade for a few hours until they are thawed (in the fridge of course). When they are thawed out, I grill them up.
I also find that buttering the bun helps make a good burger too. Try using onion buns or potato buns.
BTW - That marinade works great on chicken too, though if you are going to use it on chicken add a quarter cup of Red Wine vinegar, that'll tenderize the chicken a bit (you don't really need that with hamburger). Beer.
Beer Burgers
1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
3 Tablespoons beer - preferably Guinness, otherwise any beer available
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
salt
fresh ground pepper
Put all ingredients into a medium bowl and gently mix using two forks. Lightly shape into 4 hamburger patties. Grill on the barbecue or fry in pan on the stove. Serve on hamburger buns with condiments of your choice.
These are also excellent if made one day ahead and refrigerated until grilling time.

diced onions
diced green peppers
minced garlic
pepper
oregano
spicy deli mustard
soy sauce or teryaki sauce
cumin
