ask my neighbor - he rocks!

1 lb ground beef, season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, 1 tbs or so worcestershire sauce, 1 tbs or so liquid smoke. Mix all together and shape into 4 patties. Grill 4-6 minutes per side. Toast the buns on the grill also. When done apply your favorite condiments and enjoy.

I'm a charcoal guy all the way.

charcoal is the best but it is up to the person on what they like to cook with. a good start for the seasoning is, adobo, found in the international isle by the mexican foods, lemon pepper, california onion powder, and garlic powder, a pinch of sweet paprika and a pinch of oregano. NEVER use salt until after the meat is cooked and only if you really want it. salt will take all the liquid from meat. this is the way I do burgers for our cook outs and my whole family, which is huge, have now taken to dropping off their meat at my house so I can prepare them for them. We buy our favorite meat and ask to grind it at the market, just add salt, no other seasoning and grill until medium rare...delicious and simple...
