Kitty said: Yes.What is the best way to cook a butternut sqaush?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(What is the best way to cook a butternut sqaush?),it will help you,my kids.
Also, Do I need to refrigerate it prior to cooking?
Answers:
You don't need to refrigerate it, just keep it in a cool, dark spot.
There are two basic ways to prepare butternut squash: roasting and boiling.
To roast, cut the squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Put it on a cookie sheet cut side down (you may want to put pepper and salt and a bit of olive oil on the cut side first) and put it in the oven at 350oF until a knife poked in the side slides right in.
To boil the squash, peel it, then cut it into cubes and put it in salted boiling water until it is soft.
Enjoy!
Oh, and since you asked what the best way is, I like to roast it, and then scoop it out and mix it with a bit of butter and maple syrup. Yum!
